How do I download the OPQ app?You can download the OPQ app at Google Play Store for android and the App Store for iPhone.

How do I create an account?After installing the app, open it and you will be asked to create an account. There are different types of accounts: An organisational account is created by a senior person in an organisation (e.g., disability service provider or auditor agency). This type of account will register the organisation with OPQ. It will mean that individual staff can nominate the organisation when they create their account and their data will be attached to the organisation. The organisation’s account holder will be able to view all the data collected for that organisation. To request an organisational account be created, email lids@latrobe.edu.au Please allow 2 days for an organisational account to be verified and created. You will receive an email confirming that it has been created. An individual account attached to an organisational account. You can register an individual account which is attached to the organisation where you work. Your organisation will need to have already created an organisational account. Selecting the organisation that you work for when creating an account will mean that all data and scores saved by members of the same organisation are stored together. After installing the app, open it and you will be asked to create an account. To create an individual account connected to your organisation: • Download and open the app • Select create account • Tick Yes to the question Do you work for an organisation? • Type in the name of your organisation and select it from the list when it appears • Enter your details • You will receive a text message to enter a verification code. Enter the code in the text box, and then the account will be registered • Select the login button to go to the login screen • You can start using the OPQ app An individual account. If you do not work for an organisation or do not want to register your account with an organisation, you can create an account as an individual user. To create an individual account: • Download and open the app • Select create account • Tick No to the question Do you work for an organisation? • Enter your details • You will receive a text message to enter a verification code. Enter the code in the text box, and then the account will be registered • Select the login button to go to the login screen • You can start using the OPQ app

What is the benefit of an organisation registering an account?Registering an account as an organisation (e.g., service provider or auditor agency) means that all data and scores collected by observers who work for that organisation will be stored together. This will enable the organisation to analyse scores which could then inform strategies to improve service delivery, staff training and quality of life outcomes.

How can I access my saved observations and ratings?There are two ways to access saved observations: In the app, select Saved Observations on the home screen. This will bring you to the Saved Observations screen. Through the Observation dashboard. You can access the Observation dashboard by clicking https://app.observingstaffsupport.com.au/ or through the app by pressing the menu button in the top right-hand corner of the screen ≡ then selecting ‘Observation dashboard’. The Observation dashboard will then open in your internet browser.

How do I login to the Observation dashboard?Enter the email address you used to create an account and the password you use to login into the app. You can access the Observation dashboard by clicking this link https://app.observingstaffsupport.com.au/ or through the app by pressing the menu button in the top right-hand corner of the screen ≡ then selecting ‘Observation dashboard’. The Observation dashboard will open in your internet browser.

How do I delete a saved observation?In the Observation dashboard, select View All, identify the observation you want to delete and scroll to the right of the screen, then press the red delete trash-bin icon.

How can I export all my saved observations into an Excel document?In the Observation portal, select Saved Observations, then select Download Reports.

How do I change my password?In the app, press the menu icon in the top right-hand corner, then select Change password. The password must contain at least 8 characters with a minimum of one upper case, one lower case and one number.

How do I delete my account?In the app, press the menu icon in the top right hand corner ≡ then select Account information, then press Delete Account. All data associated with your account will be deleted. Once deleted, it cannot be undone.

Who can see the observation information I have saved in the app?You will be able to see all the information you have saved to the app. The account holder for an organisation will be able to view the observation information you have saved in the app through the Observation dashboard. The account holder will be able to view the following information about the observation: the date, address, worker, person supported, score, start time, finish time, ratings for each item, and comments. La Trobe University will have access to the total score, items ratings, and date for each observation, but will receive no other identifiable information. For example, La Trobe University will not receive information about who was the observer, the address, who was observed, or the name of the organisation. Instead, this information will be deidentified. The transfer of non-sensitive and non-identifiable data to La Trobe University has been approved by the La Trobe University Ethics Committee. Total score and item rating data is being made available to La Trobe University so that the use and effectiveness of the OPQ tool can be monitored, which may inform decisions to improve the app, and these data may be analysed and used in research reports or publications.

If I do not want to download the app, can I still use the OPQ tool?You can download and use the Microsoft Word version of the OPQ tool and the instructions.
